What is a telemedicine visit?
This is an e-visit over the internet using a mobile app or software solution delivering care remotely via video. It improves patient access and convenience. Telemedicine visits typically supplement in-person visits. Some insurance plans may NOT cover these visits. The convenience of these visits may trump any associated out of pocket cost in such scenario.
